With a rich, warm voice, he sustains the vocalese traditions created by masters like Jon Hendricks and Eddie Jefferson.
Giacomo Gates, internationally known jazz vocalist, will perform with the Nebraska Jazz Orchestra in Lincoln Tuesday evening. "Singin' & Swingin'" will present the acclaimed vocalist in a night of music with the NJO. Also to be featured will be Omaha's Metro Area Youth Jazz Orchestra as a part of the Nebraska Jazz Orchestra's Jazz 101 program.
