Omaha, NE – Metropolitan Community College is preparing to wrap up another season of the Great Plains Theatre Conference. The Conference continues Friday and Saturday.
The third annual Theatre Conference features 69 playwrights, including 19 Nebraskans. Plays are being performed morning and evening, and aspiring playwrights have the opportunity to have their work critiqued.
This year's Guest of Honor is Pulitzer-Prize winner Doug Wright. Wright won that award four years ago his play "I Am My Own Wife." The Creighton University Theatre is performing that play Friday night.
The Fort Omaha Film Conference is also happening Friday and Saturday.
