The Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual meeting on Tuesday, February 9th from 11:30 to 1 at CenturyLink Center Omaha.
David Brown, President and CEO of the Chamber, says this year’s theme is “Second to None.” Brown says they are celebrating the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce being named the 2015 Chamber of the Year for North America.
So he says during the meeting, the chamber will highlight all the things they’ve done this year. Brown says they will also give out the Chairman’s Award of Excellence, the Volunteer of the Year Award and the Headliner of the Year Award.
"The Headliner of the Year, given to an individual or organization that has put Omaha on the map through national media because of some terrific accomplishment. This year’s winner is UNMC as a result of the work they did on the Ebola problem we had in this country and across the world in the spring.”
Brown says this year’s keynote speaker for the Chamber’s meeting will be former Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel. He says Hagel will present an empowering keynote Q&A conversation.
