Harry and the Potters help wrap up OPL's Summer Reading Program

Whether you're a wizard or a muggle, you’re welcome to attend the upcoming Harry and the Potters concert at the W. Dale Clark Library.
Formed in 2002 by brothers Paul and Joe DeGeorge, the band makes music about the Harry Potter books and have released three full-length albums.

They are credited with starting a sub-genre of music called “wizard rock” that includes nearly 1,000 bands, that all make music about the books.

On Saturday, August 4th, the group will perform at the W. Dale Clark Library to help wrap up the library’s Summer Reading Program.  Emily Getzchman, Marketing Manager for the library...

"They take different pieces and different elements from the stories and they make up different songs about them.  So I would recommend people go to their website at HarryandthePotters.com and listen to some of their tracks.  People who are Harry Potter fans will certainly appreciate some of the references.  But they also just sing about books in general and reading.  And they’ve kind of just made reading even more fun than it already is.”

Getzschman says the concert starts at 7:00 and is open to everyone.  For more information, the website is omahalibrary.org
