Huskers add full-time director of sports psychology

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — A consulting sports psychiatrist has been named director of sports psychology for the University of Nebraska Athletic Department in Lincoln.

The department says Dr. Todd Stull will be the university's first full-time sports psychiatrist and work with the more than 600 student-athletes competing in the school's 24 varsity sports.

Stull founded Inside Performance Mindroom, a private practice that combines performance psychiatry with sport science training to enhance individual, team and coaching performance. He's a board-certified psychiatrist in addiction medicine as well as general and addiction psychiatry. He's also a member of the Association of Applied Sports Psychology and the International Society of Sports Psychiatry and serves on the NCAA Mental Health Task Force.

Stull earned his bachelor's degree from Hastings College, where he was a quarterback for the football team.
