ICANis hosting a Leadership Exchange Workshop on Wednesday, September 16th called Engage Every Age.
Anne Loehr, President of Anne Loehr and Associates, says engaging every age means making sure you understand who you are working with generationally.
Loehr will discuss the different generations from the boomers to the millennials.
She says it’s important to understand how you can leverage each generation’s strengths to build strong, sustainable teams made up of multiple generations.
Loehr says the country becoming more multi-generational and more diverse.
"Right now as boomers are starting to leave companies for many different reasons, Gen Y, which is the second biggest generation of all time, is starting to come into the work force and so we are going to start to see a shift in the workforce which doesn’t necessarily impact numbers but does impact how work is done because each generation has its own view, its own belief system and its own philosophy on what work means and what work-life balance means.”
The ICAN Engage Every Age workshop takes place next Wednesday, September 16th from 9 to Noon at First National Tower downtown and from 2-5 at Kiewit Corporation in west Omaha.
