ICAN Speaker Series Continues December 7th with Collaborative Intelligence

Collaborative Intelligence is the topic of the next ICAN Leadership Exchange Speaker Series.

Angie McArthur, CEO of Professional Thinking Partners, is the guest speaker.  She says most of her clients say other people are their biggest problem at work.

McArthur teaches leaders and team members to value their intellectual diversity and find out what engages and inspires each person.

Allison Schorr is the Senior Manager of Marketing & Communications for ICAN.

Schorr says the McArthur’s workshop will help those attending examine their ability to think and problem solve with others.

"Collaboration is different than cooperation, conflict and teamwork.  It really is different.  They aren’t all one in the same.   So one of the things this session will focus on is what makes collaboration different.  And it is a buzzword and people hear it all the time.  But coming at it in a scientific way and really based more in the brain science and the thinking patterns and understanding how to shift more toward collaboration and not competition.”

Schorr says McArthur’s work focuses on how business leaders can take the strengths and perspectives of their whole team and map them out for more of a collaboration piece.

ICAN’s Collaborative Intelligence event takes place Wednesday, December 7th from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. at Noah’s Event Venue, 171st and Marcy Street.
