Dollars & Sense is the focus of the VNA’s next segment on Innovative Aging.
Cathy Wyatt, Director of Educational Outreach for Financial Visions, LLC, is the guest speaker. Her presentation will focus on ways to ensure financial security as people age, as well as how to analyze financial situations for those on a fixed income.
Jamie Summerfelt is the Executive Director for the VNA. He says the purpose of the series is to help educate the baby boomer generation about the programs, products and services available to them so they may age with independence.
"Everybody who is a baby boomer is now over the age of 50. The VNA looked at how we can help people stay in their homes, how we can keep them healthy and prevent disease or injury, keep them out of emergency rooms, keep them out of hospitals. So when we look at the larger population that’s entering this age group, how can we best serve them?”
Dollars & Sense will be offered Thursday, August 9th at 7:00 p.m. in the Omaha Community Playhouse. There is no charge to attend any of the presentations in the VNA’s Innovative Aging Speaker Series.
