Interim leaders named for United Way of Midlands

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Interim leaders have been named to lead the United Way of the Midlands after the death of its 47-year-old CEO, Karen Bricklemyer.

She died after developing a serious heart problem last week.

The organization's board said Thursday that Shawna Forsberg will be interim president and Pam Schwalb will take over as interim chief operating officer.

Forsberg has been the group's senior vice president of marketing and communications since March 2013. Schwalb is the group's senior vice president of finance and operations.
