Iowa District 99 to have a new representative

By Katie Knapp Schubert

Council Bluffs, IA – Iowa's District 99 will have a new representative this November.

Democrat Kurt Hubler and Republican Mary Ann Hanusa have filed for election to that seat. This is Hubler's second run for the District 99 seat. He narrowly lost to Struyk a couple of years ago. Hanusa ran for Iowa Secretary of State in 2006. She's an administrator at Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs.

Both candidates name jobs and education as their top campaign issues.

Iowa's primary election is June 8.
