Council Bluffs Interstate System construction projects this year include a railroad relocation project.
A public meeting on the 2015 construction projects is scheduled for next Thursday. The $2 billion Council Bluffs Interstate System project will redesign 18 miles of interstate and 14 interchanges. It’s the largest single project in the Iowa DOT’s 2014-2018 program, and will be done in five phases.
This year’s projects include a new common railroad corridor west of Mosquito Creek under Interstate 29 and Iowa Highway 92.
The public meeting begins at 4 pm Thursday at the Interstate System program office, inside Mall of the Bluffs.
