Jazz Calendar (Updated 10 / 30 / 2014)

The North Omaha Foundation presents the 15th annual Jazz Concert at 7 p.m. on November 7th.  The Jeff Lorber Fusion Group and Pieces of A Dream are scheduled to perform.   The concert takes place in the Swanson Conference Center at Metropolitan Community College’s Fort Omaha Campus, 32nd Street and Sorenson Parkway. Tickets are $30 for adults and $50 for VIP seating. Ticket costs include a reception at 10:30 p.m. at Hotel Deco, 1504 Harney St. Tickets can be purchased online at northomahafoundation.com or with cash at Homer’s Records in the Old Market or Leflores New Look Fashions, 1806 N. 24th St. All proceeds go to benefit the North Omaha Foundation.  For more information you may visit http://www.northomahafoundation.com/

The Nebraska Jazz Orchestra is pleased to announce its 2014-2015 concert season. Season tickets are now available at $90 for adults and $45 for students, a 10% savings off the door price.
General admission tickets for individual concerts may also be purchased in advance or at the door for each concert. General admission prices are Adults $25 and Students $12.50. The Nebraska Jazz Orchestra will audition outstanding high school and college students to form the 2015 Young Lions All-Star Band, which will   perform as part of this series concert. The select student ensemble will be rehearsed and coached by members of the Nebraska Jazz Orchestra. The concert will also feature international trumpet artist, improviser, and composer Kelly Rossum.

Omaha Performing Arts will present a wide variety of jazz musicians during its 2014-2015 season.  Artists scheduled to perform in 2015 at the Holland Performing Arts center include saxophonist David Sanborn (February 15), trumpeter Randy Brecker (February 27) and vocalist Tierney Sutton (March 27).
