The Music in the Parks series still has a number of performances to present for its 45th season. This annual outdoor concert series presents the best jazz artists in the local area, including Susie Thorne, Robert Glaser, and other fine artists performing for your listening pleasure at various venues. The Nebraska Jazz Orchestra is pleased to announce its 2014-2015 concert season. Season tickets are now available at $90 for adults and $45 for students, a 10% savings off the door price.
General admission tickets for individual concerts may also be purchased in advance or at the door for each concert. General admission prices are Adults $25 and Students $12.50. Big Bad Bass Bone | featuring Matt Erickson

The Cornhusker Marriott | 333 South 13th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska
Bass trombonist Matt Erickson will be the Nebraska Jazz Orchestra's guest soloist. Matt is currently playing in the U.S. Air Force Band of the West in San Antonio, Texas, which includes the Concert Band, Ceremonial Band, and Brass in Blue.

Keyed Up | featuring Tom Larson

The Nebraska Jazz Orchestra will be joined by Tom Larson - composer, arranger, pianist, and professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Learning from the Master | featuring Kelly Rossum, trumpet
and the Young Lions All-Star Band
Friday, January 23, 2015 ● 7:30 pm
The Cornhusker Marriott | 333 South 13th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska  
The Nebraska Jazz Orchestra will audition outstanding high school and college students to form the 2015 Young Lions All-Star Band, which will   perform as part of this series concert. The select student ensemble will be rehearsed and coached by members of the Nebraska Jazz Orchestra. The concert will also feature international trumpet artist, improviser, and composer Kelly Rossum.

Enjoy music by West Coast bandleaders Tom Kubis, Bob Florence, Frank Macchia, and Gordon Goodwin. Also performing will be the 2015 NJO Young Artist winner.
