Omaha Performing Arts’ Jazz on the Green series runs July 10th through August 14th at Turner Park.
Kendra Whitlock Ingram, Vice President of Programming and Education, says the series features performances on six consecutive Thursdays.
New this year, free dance lessons will be offered before two of the performances.
She says another special program happens July 17th. That week is Navy Week in Omaha...
"So we have one of the Navy bands performing and we are also going to have a special guest appearance by the US Parachute Troop Team that does the leapfrogs, so they parachute onto the green, which is going to very interesting.”
All Jazz on the Green concerts take place at 7:30 p.m. on the permanent stage of The Pavilion at Turner Park.
The lawn opens each week at 5:00 p.m. and there is no charge to attend.
