Jim Esch unveils economic development plan

Omaha, NE – Second Congressional District candidate Jim Esch is unveiling his economic development plan.

The Omaha Democrat's proposal includes improving infrastructure, supporting a green economy, retraining the workforce, enhancing opportunities, and focusing on small businesses.

Esch says the Second District can become a beacon for entrepreneurship if small businesses are supported. He believes more opportunities are the greatest need in the Second District right now. More opportunities means improving healthcare and education, according to Esch.

However, Esch says new leadership and economic policies are needed to make the plan work. He says economic development can happen when politicians are willing to work with the opposite party and aren't so concerned with their own re-election campaigns.
