Sarpy County Attorney Lee Polikov says additional charges are possible against Gretna’s former city administrator.

Colleen Lawry and Bellevue Police Chief John Stacey were charged Thursday in Sarpy County Court with violating a gun certificate law. Polikov says they’re scheduled to appear in court June 6.

The charge is a class one misdemeanor, with a maximum penalty of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Meanwhile, Polikov says the investigation in to Lawry’s alleged mishandling of Gretna city funds continues. Lawry was fired as Gretna City Administrator May 1. Stacey is on administrative leave.
