Kurt Andersen Coming to Omaha for NE Book Fest

Studio 360 host Kurt Andersen will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Nebraska Book Festival.

Festival Director and Poet Matt Mason says the festival showcases authors whose work has been published in the previous year.

Mason says the festival offers attendees the opportunity to meet authors and listen to them read from their work.

He says Omaha native Kurt Andersen’s latest book “True Believers” was published in 2012.

"I think he’s on people’s minds while we are talking about this because he was just here last fall with a Film Streams event. He’s also actually friends with my brother so I thought maybe I could approach him and see if he’d be interested.  He’s such a big name out in the world having started Spy Magazine and with the Studio 360 show.”

The Nebraska Book Festival takes place April 5th-6th at UNO’s Thompson Alumni Center.

Kurt Andersen will speak on Friday the 5th at 7:00 p.m.
