Omaha, NE – Mamma Mia is onstage at the Orpheum Theater through tomorrow.
The musical is based on the songs of ABBA and returns to Omaha for the fourth time. John Bisom plays Sam Carmichael, one of Sophie's three dads, in the production. He's been with the show for approximately eight months and is enjoying touring with the production. Bisom says audiences have nonstop enthusiasm for Mamma Mia which he feels is directly related to the songs in the production. Bison says the music is the big draw, "for a lot of people it's a lot of childhood memories, you know growing up in the 70's and hearing the ABBA on the radio. And the music is being rediscovered by younger people today."
The remaining performances of Mamma Mia take place at 2:00 and 8:00 today and at 2:00 and 7:30 Sunday. Tickets for Mamma Mia are available by calling Ticket Omaha at 402-345-0606.
