Man accused of causing infant's death in Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Omaha police say a 24-year-old man has been arrested as part of an investigation into the death of a 1-year-old boy.

Omaha television station KETV reports that Tyler Kennedy was arrested Wednesday on a count of felony child abuse resulting in death.

Police say officers were called to a north Omaha home on Saturday on a report of an unresponsive child. The boy, Orlando Were, was taken to an Omaha hospital. Police say the boy died on Monday after suffering injuries while in the care of Kennedy, his mother's boyfriend.

Police say they're still investigating.
