Man dies, woman hurt in crash near Waterloo

WATERLOO, Neb. (AP) — A 27-year-old Fremont man has been killed in a rollover crash in eastern Nebraska's Douglas County.

The accident occurred around 4:15 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of U.S. Highway 275 and West Maple Road on the north side of Waterloo. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says a westbound car went out of control on a curve, crossed the median and another roadway and then rolled several times.

The driver, Jonathan Craig, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, 26-year-old Alana Kaiser, was flown to an Omaha hospital. She also is from Fremont.
