Man won't be prosecuted; fatal Omaha shooting 'justified'

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — A 22-year-old Wahoo man won't be prosecuted for fatally shooting another man in north-central Omaha.

Daniel Lorenz had been arrested after Thursday's shooting of 29-year-old Jameson Toler. But on Monday, Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine said, "It looks like the evidence shows the shooting was justified."

Lorenz apparently fired in self-defense after Toler broke Lorenz's vehicle windshield with his bare hands. Kleine says Lorenz had gone to the scene to help Toler's wife during a domestic dispute.
