Program to be retitled and get new host.In a story which ran in the New York Times on November 10th, it was announced that Marian McPartland is stepping down from "Piano Jazz". She will continue as Artistic Director of the show which will be re-titled "Piano Jazz Rising Stars" hosted by noted jazz pianist Jon Weber. The format of the show will remain the same but will focus on young, emerging musicians. Weber has been a frequent guest host on "Piano Jazz" in recent years.The new program will begin airing the first week of January 2012. Weber has already recorded 13 new shows. He will host the show on an interim basis. It has not been determined who will replace him.
