Matt Walsh will be the next Mayor of Council Bluffs.
Walsh won Tuesday's Mayoral election, with 62 percent of the vote to opponent Brent Siegrist's 37 percent. Walsh is a Council Bluffs city councilman and a banker in Omaha. Siegrist is a former Iowa State Representative.
Walsh will succeed Tom Hanafan, who's served as Mayor of Council Bluffs for more than 25 years. Hanafan didn't run for re-election.
