Omaha, NE – Medicare's Annual Enrollment period ends on December 31st.
Health Insurance Specialist Natalie Duy says people should not be complacent with their Medicare health plans. She recommends all people with Medicare review their options carefully. Duy says even if their plans have worked well for them, individuals should still have someone help them compare options to make sure they are getting the best plan possible for 2011. She says, "We all work very hard for our dollars and we want to make sure everyone gets the most for their money and that they get the best benefits that they possibly can. So we want folks out there to utilize these resources that are available to them and make sure that they compare those plans."
The Nebraska Insurance Counseling Program is available to assist individuals with questions at 1-800-234-7119. Any changes or enrollments made by the end of the year are effective January 1, 2011.
