Meeting of the Minds 2010 Leadership Summit kicks off this week.

By Cheril Lee

Omaha, NE – The 2010 Meeting of the Minds Leadership Summit begins Wednesday at the Qwest Center.

Diane Wanek is the Communications Director for the Joslyn Institute for Sustainable Communities. Wanek says this is the first summit to be held in a non-coastal area, and she credits the Institute's progressive and aggressive initiatives for bringing the conference here. Wanek says the Institute has focused on creating organizations that help influence public policy and that help increase participation within the community by different kinds of groups.

Wanek says the conference will offer sessions on sounder environmental practices and cleaner energy systems for business and community leaders. She says this year's summit will bring together about 200 people.

For those who are unable to attend the summit, Wanek says all sessions will be broadcast online at meetingoftheminds2010.org.
