The College World Series begins Saturday in Omaha, with opening ceremonies Friday evening.
This is the 64th year the Series has been played in Omaha. The field of eight teams includes three from Texas. CWS of Omaha executive director Kathryn Morrissey says some attendance records were broken last year, and they expect the one millionth CWS fan at TD Ameritrade Park will attend early in the Series.
"We do anticipate for game number one, which will be on June 14th, that we will have our one millionth College World Series fan at TD Ameritrade Park. That will be very exciting, and we will be distributing some vintage-looking pennants to fans to celebrate that."
Alternative transportation options such as the Stadium Circulator will be available again this year for CWS fans. Valet bicycle parking is also available.
