Omaha, NE – A new fundraising scam is targeting Metropolitan Community College.
Assistant Director of Public Safety Mark Sundermeier says two cases have been reported in Douglas and Dodge counties. He says the scam artists claim they're selling magazine subscriptions to pay for a trip overseas or a film making class. Sundermeier says Metro is not involved in any way with the magazine sales.
Sundermeier says anyone who's visited by the scam artists should call police.
