Omaha, NE – Mutual of Omaha is celebrating its 100th birthday with two days of community events.
Wild About Omaha weekend begins Friday. Events include free admission to the Henry Doorly Zoo and to an Omaha Royals game with a voucher.
Mutual of Omaha spokeswoman Sephera Staley says the company is sponsoring events at ten arts and entertainment venues Friday, including Lauritzen Gardens, Joslyn Art Museum and the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts. A kids' zone will be set up on 20th Street near the Omaha Children's Museum.
Staley says employees are also celebrating the centennial by performing 100 days of community service.
Mutual of Omaha was founded March 5, 1909.
