The state of Nebraska has entered in to a sister-state agreement in Shaanxi Province, China.
Governor Dave Heineman announced the agreement Tuesday morning during a trade mission to China. State Labor Commissioner Catherine Lang says a Shaanxi company, Easyway International, was the first Chinese company to invest in Nebraska. Easyway handles logistics for textiles and agriculture.
Governor Heineman and Commissioner Lang’s comments came during a conference call Tuesday. Shaanxi Province is located in central China and has a population of 37 million.
