Omaha, NE – Shakespeare on the Green will present the traditional version of Romeo & Juliet and Two Gentlemen of Verona-The Musical.
The Festival resturns June 24th. Plays are held in Elmwood Park on the UNO campus. Interim Festival Director Alan Klem says he believes people attend Shakespeare on the Green not just to be entertained and enjoy the outdoors but to be enlightened as well.
He says people in Omaha love Shakespeare and the connection between the words and the language as well as the universality of Shakespeare.
Shakespeare on the Green takes place for three weekends, beginning Thursday, June 24th. All shows are free and start at 8:00 p.m.
