Nebraska's college savings plan updates investment options

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Nebraska's college savings plans are getting some new investment options, and the cost of some of the funds will decrease.

Nebraska State Treasurer Don Stenberg says his office is working to make sure the college savings plans are affordable and offer good performance.

The fees charged by a number of the investment funds within the plans will decrease.

Five of the investment options within the plans will change, and a new investment option will be added.

First National Bank of Omaha oversees the plans for the state. Deborah Goodkin with the bank says these changes are designed to help people save for their college goals.
