Nebraska's Senators honor victims of Westroads shooting

Omaha, NE – Nebraska Senators Ben Nelson and Chuck Hagel honored the victims of Wednesday's shooting at Westroads Mall with a resolution in the U.S. Senate. S Res. 393 extends condolences to the eight victims' families and thanks the emergency personnel who responded to Westroads. A news release from Senator Nelson's office says he and Senator Hagel are "stunned, grief-stricken, shocked, and in complete disbelief...the United States Senate stands with Omaha and I know every one of my colleagues joins me in extending our prayers and deepest sympathies to the families and friends of the victims." The Senate passed the resolution Thursday.
