New school year, new technology for some students in a Sarpy County school district

Some students in the Springfield Platteview Community Schools will return to class August 16th with new technology.

Seventh through 12th grade students will use iPads in class this coming school year. Springfield Platteview superintendent Brett Richards it’s part of a district-wide technology initiative. "We’ll have things for them to organize themselves better on the iPad, productivity software, things where they can make presentations, movies on that side, and then we’ll also have things for content applications."

Springfield Platteview recently changed its name, logo, and slogan going in to the 2012-13 school year. The school district is part of the Learning Community of Douglas and Sarpy Counties.
