Nikko Jenkins pleads no contest to four Omaha murders

Nikko Jenkins has pleaded no contest in connection with four murders last summer in Omaha.

Jenkins entered that plea Wednesday in Douglas County District Court, and was found guilty by Judge Peter Bataillon. Jenkins was accused of killing Curtis Bradford, Juan Uribe-Pena, Jorge Cajiga-Ruiz, and Andrea Kruger last August, just weeks after his release from prison.

He represented himself at the trial and was charged with first-degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

No sentencing date has been set. A three-judge panel will now be selected to determine if Jenkins is eligible for the death penalty.
