No explosives found after search of vehicle at STRATCOM gate

Apr 30, 2014

Normal operations have resumed at the STRATCOM gate following a report this morning of possible explosives on a delivery truck.

A news release from 55th Wing Public Affairs says a military working dog alerted officials around 4:15 AM during a routine search about a delivery truck. OPD’s explosive ordnance disposal unit responded and the vehicle was cleared two hours later.

No explosives were found in the vehicle. 55th Wing officials say “our security forces unit performed correctly as trained, and quickly resolved the incident.”
