North Omaha Summer Arts' Arts Crawl is Tonight

The 5th annual North Omaha Summer Arts’ Arts Crawl takes place tonight from 6:00 to 9:00.

Pamela Jo Berry, North Omaha native, resident and artist, says the arts crawl is really one big art show.  She says the Washington Branch Library is part of the event this year, hosting a reception from 5:30 to 6:30 with art and food.

Barry says after living in North Omaha for many years, it started to get to her that she wasn’t seeing any art in the area. She says the purpose of North Omaha Summer Arts is to bring art, in all its forms, to the area.  The family-friendly arts festival wraps up with the Arts Crawl.

"It’s like one big art show.  So you start at one place like Metropolitan Community College and you’ll go in and look at the art.  If the artist is there you get to chat with them.  And you get to have some food.  You can drive to each location.  After awhile, the locations are so close, you can park your car and you can walk.”

Locations on the Arts Crawl route include the Trinity Lutheran Church, Parkside Baptist Church and Heartland Family Service. There is no fee to attend the Arts Crawl. You can find more information on Facebook under North Omaha Summer Arts.
