The Capehart gate to STRATCOM atOffutt Air Force Basehas reopened following a report earlier Friday of a suspicious package.
The package was discovered at 11:45 Friday morning at the east STRATCOM gate on Capehart Road. An Omaha Police bomb disposal team responded to the scene. Roads around the Capehart gate were closed for several hours, and three buildings were evacuated.
A 55th Wing spokesman says nothing suspicious was found. The gate reopened just after 5pm.
