NWS: three tornadoes hit southeast Nebraska Monday night

The National Weather Service says three tornadoes touched down in southeast Nebraska Monday night.

A damage assessment team from Omaha visited the sites in Jefferson and Gage counties Tuesday morning. Two tornadoes touched down in Jefferson County, and one in Gage County.

The strongest of the three tornadoes was an EF2, with winds of 120 miles per hour. That tornado cut a six-mile path between Diller and Harbine in Jefferson County.
