The Omaha Area Youth Orchestra kicks off the new season with its annual All-Orchestra Concert

Omaha, NE – The Omaha Area Youth Orchestra's annual All-Orchestra concert takes place this Sunday at the Holland Center.

Music Director Aviva Segall says all four of the audition-based orchestras will perform. She says the OAYO's concerto competition winner Yasmeen Bora will be playing the last movement of the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto. Segall says the experience the student musicians get from performing in the Holland Center is unparalleled, "Just the excellence of the experience itself and then what it says for our musicians that you get to be in the same hall as the big kids. I think it does say something to the youth in this community that they are valued and that there is something important about what they are doing."

Sunday's performance includes selections from Berlioz, Sousa and Mozart. Tickets are available through Ticket Omaha at 345-0606.
