Omaha, NE – Omaha Children's Museum is partnering with WhyArts? for a six month artist-in-residence program.

Lindy Hoyer is the Executive Director for the Museum. She says artists from throughout the area are presenting workshops on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons through December. Hoyer says the 20-minute programs focus on theatre, dance, music and visual arts. Hoyer says, "whether it be a story being told, whether it's dance steps and movement begin learned or whether it be some piece of visual art where the kids tear paper or paint, the workshops focus on the process and not the end product."

Hoyer says WhyArts was created to ensure that people of all ages and abilities have access to visual and performing arts experiences. For a complete schedule of WhyArts programming at the Omaha Children's Museum, the website is ocm.org.
