Omaha, NE – The Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce's December 2007 economic indicators show more than 8,400 jobs were added between December 2006 and 2007. Senior Director Scott Strain says the manufacturing, professional and business services, education, and health care sectors all added jobs. He says despite national economic trouble, Omaha's economy is showing stable, steady growth. Strain points out that this is the first growth in the manufacturing sector since 2000.
