OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — An Omaha man has died after being shot in the head earlier in the week.
Police say 31-year-old Rodney Hunt died Friday at the Nebraska Medical Center after being shot Tuesday night near a motel in south Omaha.
Hunt was out on parole after a 2011 conviction of stealing a car. He had been released from the Tecumseh state prison in June.
No arrests have been made in the shooting.
Hunt's family planned to hold a candlelight vigil for him Friday night.
