Omaha man faces federal charges in 2010 homicide

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — An Omaha man is facing federal charges for a 2010 slaying that prosecutors say was linked to gang activity.

The Omaha World-Herald reports that 28-year-old Kendell Tealer could be executed if he's convicted of the new charges related to 33-year-old Mickle Graham's death.

Graham was involved in a fight on the night of his death and then fatally shot hours later. Prosecutors say he was killed to advance Tealer's position in a gang.

Tealer and two others pleaded guilty to reduced state charges in early 2011 and were sentenced to a year of probation.
