A 12-year-old Omaha middle school student has died after nearly drowning in his school’s swimming pool Thursday.
Omaha Police were called to Nathan Hale Middle School just after 1:30 pm Thursday for a report of a possible drowning. When they arrived, they learned 12-year-old Demariont’e Brown-Elliott had possibly drowned in the school’s swimming pool.
Brown-Elliott was taken to Immanuel Hospital in critical condition. Police say he died a short time later.
