OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — An Omaha police officer has been picked up on suspicion of drunken driving in the neighboring city of Ralston.
Ralston police say Sgt. Jason Christensen was stopped by officers a little before 8 a.m. Thursday after a Ralston public works employee reported seeing a vehicle weaving down a street. Ralston Police Chief Ron Murtaugh says Christensen's breath test showed he was driving with more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
Online court records don't list the name of an attorney who could be contacted to comment on Christensen's behalf.
Omaha police Lt. Darci Tierney said Friday that Christensen is on paid administrative leave.
