Omaha officials: stay home if possible during winter storm

Omaha, NE – Omaha city officials say anyone traveling Tuesday or Wednesday should use extreme caution.

A major winter storm affecting the Omaha area could leave behind a foot of snow when it moves out Wednesday. A news release from the city says only essential personnel should report to work Wednesday. Everyone else should stay home if possible.

City officials say crews will be plowing and deicing roads around the clock.

No power outages were reported in or around Omaha as of late Tuesday afternoon.
