Omaha, NE – Omaha Performing Arts kicks off its 5th season on September 9th with the Broadway Series and Jersey Boys.

Executive Director Joan Squires says the Broadway series will also offer another show that's not been in Omaha before, Rock of Ages. In addition to the Broadway series, Omaha Performing Arts offers dance, family and jazz series. Squires says the jazz series begins in December with Chris Botti, who performed at the Holland for New Year's Eve a few years ago, "He's an amazing jazz trumpeter. He's a fabulous musician. He's Grammy-nominated. He does some crossover but is really a true jazz artist. And then, a highlight not only for the jazz series but for our entire season, is the legendary Herbie Hancock. He's well known and is really an icon for jazz enthusiasts."

The Tierney Sutton Band rounds out the jazz series. A complete schedule of events as well as ticket information is available at omahaperformingarts.org.
