OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Omaha authorities have identified a 39-year-old woman critically injured in an officer-involved shooting this week.

Officers say they responded Tuesday night to a report of an assault in progress at a home, where a female armed with a knife confronted them.

According to a police report, officers shot at the woman who's been identified as Tiffany Terry. She was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center, where officials say she's in critical condition.

Police officials tell WOWT-TV they plan to release more information about the incident on Wednesday night. An investigation is ongoing.
