Omaha police investigate double homicide in apartment

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Omaha police are investigating a double homicide after finding two people dead inside an apartment.

The victims were discovered with gunshot wounds around 11:30 p.m. Saturday as a winter storm moved through the city.

The apartment complex where the victims were found is in north central Omaha, not far from Interstate 680.

Officer Michael Pecha says both victims died at the scene. Their identities and genders weren't immediately released Sunday.

Anyone with information about the deaths is encouraged to contact police through Crime Stoppers at 402-444-7867.
