Omaha police investigating overnight shootings of 2 women

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Authorities are investigating the overnight shootings of two women in Omaha.

Omaha television station KETV reports (http://bit.ly/1WHPDgL ) that Omaha police were called to the first shooting at 1:15 a.m. on Monday. Officers learned 22-year-old Tierra Williams had left the scene, but she was found a few blocks away with an apparent gunshot wound.

Williams was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center in serious condition with a non-life-threatening injury. Authorities say she was uncooperative with officers and offered few details about how she became injured.

Police say 23-year-old Talaysia Tanner arrived at Bergan Hospital with an apparent graze wound. Authorities say she told officers she was struck by gunfire at the same location as the first reported shooting.
